John Grimley provides custom communications services to businesses and organizations operating in international markets, including: Writing & Editing, Market Research, Social Media and Media Relations Support.
He began his career serving as a writer to U.S. President George HW Bush in The White House and went on to serve in senior staff roles in the California Legislature, where his focus included legislative affairs & media relations. He later worked as an aide to former British Foreign Secretary & EU Negotiator for the Former Yugoslavia David Owen, where he drafted & edited semi-scholarly publications during the campaign in support of the UK’s continued presence in the EU, while remaining outside the Euro currency zone.
He then began a focus on international business development & communications for professional services firms in public affairs, legal & financial services while working in the EU, the US & the Asia-Pacific Region. Between 2002 & 2008 he established & operated a European Union-focused business development initiative for Washington, DC-based public policy & law firm Patton Boggs LLP.
He’s an author and regular commentator on international business strategy and a non-practicing attorney licensed in the District of Columbia.
